Buyer Responsibilities: All Deposits are NON REFUNDABLE. Puppy MUST BE EXAMINED by a Licensed Veterinarian within 72 hours of delivery. Seller must be Informed Immediately of the Examination result by Email or by Phone IF there is a problem found. The failure to take the puppy to a Licensed Veterinarian and NOT Notifying Shikira Puppies of any Problems or the Veterinarians Results Immediately, will result in the Cancellation of the Health Guarantee and Replacement of Puppy.

Shikira Puppies has made every attempt to keep your puppy Free from Infectious Disease and Worms. Due to the fact that Maternal Antibodies passed through the Mothers Colostrum in the first few days of life Bind with Antigens in the Vaccines and keep it from Stimulating the Immune System, it is possible that the vaccines given to your puppy are NOT Effective at the time you take your puppy home. The fact is that Maternal Antibodies can be present up until 16 weeks of age and it is also known that it takes atleast 3 weeks for the Immune System to Develop Antibodies in response to the vaccine. There for it is impossible for anyone to determine at what point your puppy is FULLY IMMUNE to these Infectious Diseases PRIOR to 20 Weeks of Age.

When you take your puppy to the Vet, PLEASE DO NOT LET PUPPY WALK ON THE FLOOR, AND PUT YOUR OWN TOWEL OR BLANKET ON THE TABLE TO BE EXAMINED. You can either carry in your puppy or bring them in a crate, but do not let them come into contact with any surface within the clinic or parking lot. Sick dogs go to the Vet, and Disease is spread through Contact with Clothes, Shoes, Hands, and Wind. Be aware that you CAN bring home Disease on YOUR shoes and clothes, and take care to change them as soon as possible… Spray Bleach water… 8 oz bleach to 1 gallon water, to kill germs and bacteria on the bottom of your shoes before you walk back into your home.

I also Advise you to Keep Visitors and Outings Limited the first few weeks to let puppy get settled in to his or her new surroundings. Stress caused by changes in your puppies Normal Routine and Diet can also have an effect on the Immune Systems ability to Respond and keep your puppy healthy. I send food home to last a few days. I advise you to keep your puppy on Canidae For All Life Stages if at all possible, or buy a small bag of the Canidae and after 2 week start mixing in the new food you plan to feed.
